Ferdi Mountain Base is located in North Austria between the captivating Enns Valley and the Dachstein Mountain range. Its magnificent location is full of endless possibilities and is perfect for adrenaline-fuelled activities or hard-core training. Its fairy-tale scenes are also a haven for tranquillity where you can cleanse your body and soul in unimaginable beauty.

The Ferdi base is a newly-built lodge that is equally as impressive as its legendary backdrop. Its larch-clad exterior blends in with its natural habitat, while its striking interiors embody a new design concept. Its minimalist edge encourages purity of thought, whether it’s complete and utter rest or focused work-outs. With no expense spared or finishing touch missed, it has a stylish kitchen, sumptuous beds and gorgeous deck area.

Its open plan living area covers the top floor and offers spectacular views over the mesmerising Planai Mountains. Contemporary sofas look out over the panoramic vistas, while a chic fireplace keeps everything warm in the winter. A large Bulthaup kitchen overlooks the sleek dining area and has modern appliances and a bespoke, designer finish. With floor-to-ceiling windows and an exclusive balcony, it is an incredible space to soak up the Austrian landscape.

Downstairs, there is a yoga room suitable for stretching and gentle exercise, complete with a glass-fronted sauna and stunning mountain-view terrace. A hi-tech ski prep room can help to keep your boots warm and is joined by an outside yoga space where you can rejuvenate your soul. The four double en-suite bedrooms are designed to promote rest and relaxation and have a soothing atmosphere and a natural simplicity. Crisp white walls are joined by quality wood floors, while adjustable lighting can be tailored to your mood.

Beyond your terrace, adventure awaits whether it’s high up in the mountains or deep down in the valleys. The Dachstein range is a favourite for winter sports and has ski slopes and jumps that are suitable for all. You are within walking distance of a 89 hole golf course. In the spring and summer, the natural opulence reins making it ideal for hiking, biking and serious rock climbing. With never-ending opportunities and inspirational scenery, you can enjoy the holiday of a lifetime in any season. The owners are very knowledgeable about the local area, and happy to suggest activities. In the autumn, this town becomes a training ground for all the World Cup athletes in cross-country skiing, biathlon, and other Nordic sports. You are very likely to bump into them when out for an evening jog!
